This 6 session class paced over 12 weeks will have you going from knowing nadda to knitting a sweatah!
This class is via zoom and comes with replay of the sessions.
Sessions:
All Zoom sessions will be Sundays 1pm-2pm ET
- January 25th
- February 8th
- February 22th
- March 8th
- March 22th
- April 12th (skipping a week for Easter)
Week by Week Snapshot
Week 1: Learn the most basic stitch in knitting..... knitting! We will also learn how to cast on + cast off and get to know the cohort.
Week 2: Learn to purl and putting knitting and purling together. Stockinette, ribbing, seed stitch, broken ribs.
Week 3: Learn to increase and decrease. This might be my favorite week yall- it unlocks your ability to make all garments
Week 4: Learn to knit in the round. Now you can knit a sock or a hat!
Week 5: Color-work + start to look at patterns.
Week 6: Let's troubleshoot some patterns so we can make a sweater
6 months from the last class we will have another meet up to show our sweaters!
How Will We Learn:
We will learn a skill during each class time. There will be plenty of time for trouble shooting and questions. At the end of each class you will be given a knitting challenge designed to test your skills and put them into action. Replay of the zoom sessions will be available following the class for all members (IRL + zoom people alike).
All skills taught have video resources that are easily accessible in our online community. And there will be a news feed to show your progress and ask questions!
