Fall Winter 2025

DEGEN FW25 is nearly here and its getting to be sweater weather here in New England.  Im starting to feel the familiar back-to-school excitement that the cool air brings and with it, time to switch over my wardrobe. 

As usual, the inspiration for this season came first and foremost through the yarn and color.  I aim to honor the materiality of the yarn by highlighting what it does best.  Because of that, sometimes my collection can feel un-themed.  I don't typically make collections that are about topics like I once did because for me craft is a way to find peace in a un-peaceful time.  And in times like this - specifically the dictatorship that we live under, the senseless killing of civilians in Gaza, the tariffs impacting small businesses, and the list goes on and on- choosing to focus on craft when I am crafting has become an important respite.

This collection will be broken into 3 mini releases beginning on September 4th at 10am ET.  This first release features our Wool Bind Off Tee in merino with recycled wool tweedy bits, the Harlequin Stitch Slipover Vest in non-superwash DEGEN DK, the Laced Slipover Vest in DEGEN Dk, and our superfine lightweight merino Striped Turtleneck.

This season I wanted to explore yarn weights and qualities more than I had in previous seasons.   We stepped into fine fine gauge with our turtleneck which is a delicious transitional light weight that is also a lovely under layer.  It is 12 gauge and a little closer fitting than our classic sweater shape providing warmth and ease with layering under something with sleeves.

This is also the first season we are offering our ready to wear yarn for purchase by hand knitters.  You will recognize the colors from this collection as DEGEN DK in Elven, Linen, Smile, Rivendell, Moss, and Ferrari.  I just love that you now have the option to knit something yourself or be inspired to knit something else completely from our palette.

Another joyful addition to this collection, launching a little bit later is our selection of garments made with handknitting favorite, Cascade 220.  We really explored their palette through striping and zig zagging.

This fall winter we are only anticipating doing one in person event with the collection, Field and Supply in Kingston October 10-12th.  I hope to see you there!
