Spring 2

Spring 2

Mar 14, 2026

This years spring collection in its full form began with a new floral. I had been deeply in love with Judit Gummlich's book Embroidery On Knits from Laine Publishing.  The book is full of beautiful imagery and even more beautiful embroidery.

The placements and motif's are not what resonated with me, but more so the organic hand and gesture.  Its a gesture that cannot be replicated in the knit stitch.  Knitting becomes almost naive and more akin to a block print when you interpret a drawing into stitches.  I wanted to create a floral motif that combined the more simple hand of intarsia with the gesture of embroidery. I also was after the finer line weight that the hand embroidery can provide.  I hope to do more of this in the future.

Paired with our hand Embroidered Flora Sweater (in cotton), we are finally releasing our first woven shorts. I think these are the perfect shorts and will likely remain in our line for some seasons to come.  Our woven collection - which at the moment is just our trouser and short - is made in Portugal from Portuguese fabrics.  This short is fitted at the waist and easy to wear assisted by the 1/2 elasticated waistband.  The front of the shorts feature 2 pleats and a long fly front. The pockets are generous at the side seams as well as the back.  They are a celebration of volume while being easy to wear.  I see these as a wardrobe staple.  They look good with everything in this collection from the more fitted to the more oversized.

The other knits in this collection include the Edie Tee and the Peak Tee. The Peak Tee is show above. This one is subtle but gorgeous in its gentle expression with a small pop of color.  The rib travels to create a triangular shape that summits in a little color pop stripe at the neck. A dressed up basic tee.

And lastly, for some stitch detail we have Edie. Edie is based on a lace pattern I found on a vintage sweater reference.  Knit lace is often floral in a way that is too sweet for my taste.  This lace feels geometric and organic at the same time.  The repetition of the pattern also has a bit of a mod energy.  We made this style in our off-white color as well as our bright poppy red that is perennial to the brand.

It looks like light bulbs, lobster claws, wiggley lines.  Edie is mid weight cotton, breathable, but substantial. Below is Natural Edie paired with our Natural Denim Shorts and our coming soon socks.

This collection goes live on Thursday March 19th at 10am ET.
