The Perfect Tool Kit
A couple weeks ago we quietly dropped our latest collab with Ritual Dyes - the Moon Needle Case.
You might have noticed something else that's new poking out of our needle case - our candy colored cable needles.
These candy colored cable needles that fit perfectly in the first or second page of the needle case will come in a smaller set of two and a larger set of 2 to satisfy your cabling needs. I am so happy with how they came out- TWIZZLERS!
Other necessities besides your needle case include scissors. I have the poppy circle scissors tucked away in mine, a needle gauge, latch tools, a pencil, darning needles, and stitch markers.
Customization!
One of the most fun aspects of this case is how you can make it your own. Not only do you get to pick what goes where but its also a great literal canvas for making it your own. I was thinking about chain stitch embroidering my name on the elasticated pouch page (last page). I also was thinking about sewing a little fabric length into that same page so that I could dangle some stitch markers off of it. Im really looking forward to seeing how you all customize yours. Rachel from Ritual Dyes and I did a live instagram where we walked through our set ups and it was so fun to see how she decided to organize hers. I'll obviously add "DEGEN" in chain stitch if I ever come across a chainstitcher (I heard there might be one at Sacred Sheep this year!)
Preferred Needle Set:
I have tried Addi, Lykke, and Chiaogoo needle sets and my preference is the Chiaogoo metal set. I just do not prefer wood but if you do, Lykke or Hiya Hiya could be a good way to go. Here is the link to my preferred set . This set is US 2-8 because I do not typically go up higher than that. I am a very tight knitter. Knit Club also has the full expanded set. Instead, I got the smaller set and a set of Chiaogoo shorties which are their tiny circumference interchangeable set. They have 2" and 3" tips for sizes 0-3. As you can see the needle case is so so ugly. So just pull out your needles and stick them in your new Moon Needle Case instead.
