Passion for Knitting

At DEGEN, we seek out intentionality and craftsmanship in our manufacturing partners. Knit on fine-gauge machines, by artisans specializing in this technique, these socks are designed to withstand the test of time.

Rooted in Welsh Heritage

Operational since the 19th century, this Welsh mill has perfected their craft in sock-making. Like our values at DEGEN, our mill in Wales appreciates craft, heritage, and attention to detail.

Handcrafted by Generational Artisans

Owned and operated by the same family for six generations, these Welsh socks - "Sanau" - are a result of consistent dedication to craft.

Meet DEGEN

Lindsay Degen is the designer behind DEGEN, a craft-led brand at the intersection of art and fashion. Trained in Fiber Arts at the Rhode Island School of Design and Central Saint Martins, she brings an artist’s rigor and point of view to knitwear—redefining it as both material and medium. Her work balances technical expertise with expressive design, resulting in pieces that feel thoughtful, distinctive, and deeply considered.
