The hat is knit sideways using garter stitch and short rows to create the shaping. Two ear flaps are knit separately. The hat is then seamed up and ear flaps applied. The pattern comes with optional pom pom instructions.

The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers Oh Dang! DK or Oh Dang! (heavy lace weight) held double. For using the heavy lace weight version, double the yardage needed. 90% Suri Alpaca, 10% Silk. 246 yards // 100 grams. 1 skein needed // 220 yards.
