Indigo Denim Woven Short
The Woven Short balances volume, structure, and ease. Cut with a relaxed, baggy fit, it features a fly front, double pleated detailing, and an elasticated back waistband for comfort without compromise. Generous front pockets and back patch pockets ground the piece in everyday utility.
Sturdy 10oz. denim
This piece is crafted in collaboration with fair-wage artisan partners in Portugal, each garment reflects a deep respect for craft, community, and tradition. With fewer than 100 pieces made, every design remains as special as the hands that created it.
A note on producing in Portugal: Portugal has a deep-rooted tradition of weaving, shaped by generations of artisans who understand fabric at an instinctual level. The people making our trousers and shorts bring a quiet precision to their work by refining fit, structure, and finish through experience.
From careful cutting to considered construction, every step reflects a respect for the material and the process. Producing in Portugal means working alongside skilled hands who turn good design into something lasting.

Care in Carft
Every DEGEN knit is a collaboration—a chain of hands. From fiber to finished garment, each piece passes through skilled fair-wage Portuguese makers who bring a deep appreciation of woven materials. Every pair of trousers and shorts passes through experienced hands that prioritize precision over speed, refining each detail along the way. Working in Portugal allows us to create woven pieces that feel thoughtful, durable, and quietly refined.

A Study in Beautiful Finishing
Great woven garments are defined by how they’re put together. Our trousers and shorts are constructed with a level of precision that prioritizes strength, consistency, and longevity. Seams are clean and durable, with each stitch placed thoughtfully to support the structure of the garment.Top stitching is where that craftsmanship becomes visible, crisp, even, and beautifully executed. It frames the silhouette, reinforces key areas, and adds a subtle point of interest.

Material, Sourced with Purpose
The denim and twill we use is carefully engineered. Considering yarn size, weave density, and finishing techniques to achieve the right balance of structure, comfort, and longevity is central to our process. Our partners have a deep understanding of how denim behaves over time. They know how to build a cloth that holds its shape while still softening with wear, and how to finish it in a way that brings out depth and character without over-processing. Subtle variations in wash, tone, and texture are embraced rather than erased.
