Lace Your Own Adventure
This sweater is a matrix of lace holes that allow for endless lacing possibilities. A confident beginner sweater with major visual impact.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate
Construction
Construction
This simple sweater begins with a provisional cast on / tubular cast on and is knit in the round from thebottom up. Throughout the body, knit eyelets or lace holes in an even array to create endless possibilities for the end result. The shoulders are joined with crochet seams and the piece is finished with a folded rib at the neckline. The sleeves are picked up from the armholes and worked in the round. Finally, knit some i-cord or a crochet cording (or use available lacing material and weave it through the holes). It is just like lacing up a shoe.
Fit
Fit
This sweater is a classic fit with a slightly dropped shoulder. The sleeve tapers gradually for a genderless fit. Please see the fit chart. The sample is size Small.

Materials
Materials
•MAIN YARN: La Bien Aimee Merino DK in color ‘Ash.’ 100% Merino Wool 115g // 252 yards. 1030 (1080, 1150, 1420, 1500) (1590, 1780, 1870, 2000) yards // 470 (490, 525, 645, 685) (725, 810, 850, 910) grams needed.
Please note that if you opt for a superwash merino, it tends to get wider when blocked. It is important to block your gauge swatch and final garment.
CONTRAST COLORS: I recommend these be from stash and the weight is not really important. Focus on the perfect color combo.
